Autumn has definitely arrived! Again, it was an enjoyable weekend at the range. Gusty winds on Sunday made it a little difficult to achieve good grouping. Great to see the ‘young’ taking an interest in the sport.

Sunday 22 September 2024: It rained most of the day, experiences for one and a double session for four. Not the best weather conditions but good shooting was achieved by everyone. Two clients had never shot before, and the results were amazing! Three clients had been shooting regularly, so the matchstick target made it a little more challenging for the seasoned shooters. The winner was the shooter who had never shot before! We are fully booked this season, close on 27 October 2024 and reopen on 12 April 2025. A new 3m x 4.5m gazebo was put up for the first time today ready for the autumn sessions. All the experience shooters shot really well again today. We only have two air rifle experience sessions left this season. They are at 3pm on Saturday 5 October 2024 or Sunday 20 October 2024. Only ten slots are available for taster sessions (Wowcher), on September 29, October 13 & 27. Book early to avoid disappointment! We close for the season on 27 October 2024. Next year’s booking diary will be online in December ready for when we reopen on Saturday 12 April 2025.

Rain did not stop play! The gazebo was put up so all stayed reasonably dry. Card targets got a little wet but groups at 25 yards were still spot on for first-time shooters! Four new pellet catchers were put up on the range today. The bedding plants are looking good! Today’s experience shooters shot very well. Another busy day tomorrow, eight in for air rifle experiences. The weather is looking good again.

Range strimmed, swept & bedding plants planted ready for a busy few weeks of experiences, courses, lessons & practice. A few lanes are available for practice on Sunday 12 May 2024 and the next available date for an experience or lesson is Sunday 2 June 2024.

The spring weather has arrived just in time for our first weekend of air rifle experiences! Great shooting was achieved once again by all who took part in this affordable shooting sport. We are now open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons until the end of October 2024. Remember to book early to secure your session. Booking is online and by appointment only. Sunday 14 April 2024, the first practice shoot of the season! Cold and blustery but gave us time to chronograph a number of air rifles, all below legal limit as they should be. Next practice shoot is on 28 April 2024, remember to book seven days in advance to secure your lane.
